The Manifesto of Team Flannel - ‘I wore flannel before it was popular’
(1) Whereas in the words of Johan the Great of the North ‘real mean spend their weekends in the woods, fishing and eating reindeer in flannel’
(2) Whereas we acknowledge the historical importance of the wearing of flannel by previous heroes of the textile, our brethren, Paul Bunyan, Al Borland, the Brawny Man and many more…..
(3) Whereas we reject the wearing of flannel for ‘la mode’, as has been experienced in recent years by the ‘Brats of Stureplan’. We understand this as an affront to the symbol flannel attire represents, especially our mullet wearing kinfolk.
(3) Whereas flannel represents the urge for menfolk to be one with nature, embodying both its splendour and callousness.
