Hunting in Sweden
When I am not fishing, brewing beer, training my dog, building rods or nets or building something else (notice I did not mention work), I am out hunting. I hunt everything from birds to moose, but I am most passionate about bird hunting with fine double guns (AYA side by sides), especially with my pointing dog, Nívós, a Hungarian Vizsla.
Hunting in Sweden is quite difficult if you are not Swedish. However, if you have a license from Europe, you can come and hunt on many lands with open access and "hunting cards." Most of them can be purchase through sites like www.inatur.se. There you can purchase hunting cards for 1 day to a week. It is quite expensive, similar to fishing and costs around 100-900 sek per day depending upon what you hunt. Otherwise, you have to own the hunting rights.
Again my favorite hunting is for birds. I am really passionate about upland bird hunting (ptarmigan, black grouse, capercaillie, pheasants and partridge). Thereafter, I have become a passionate pigeon hunter.
I'll leave you with some pics and info from my adventures in Sweden.
