sALMON fISHING IN sWEDEN
I can honestly admit that I am not an avid salmon fishermen...they are a different breed. I have been out fishing for salmon only a few times, and have primarily tried my luck at sea trout.
You can find some good salmon rivers in Halland and down toward Skåne on the west coast. Great salmon rivers are also available in lower Sweden up to Kalmar. Some great tips are available on www.laxfiske.nu
Salmon fishing is actually quite popular in downtown Stockholm. However, don’t plan on using your 9 foot 8 weight and back casting to get the line out there. You’ll hook a tourist, the Prime Minister or a member of ABBA behind you as a good place to fish is near the Opera and Parliament buildings.
