My name is Michael Martin and I am an avid fly fisherman, hunter, adventurer and "do-it-yourselfer." I love being outdoors and enjoying fishing and hunting with my dog Nivos. I also enjoy building my own equipment, brewing beer, tying flies, cooking, road biking and taking on new projects.
I work at IVL-Swedish Environmental Research Institute in Stockholm where I research in the Life Cycle Assessment group. My research focuses on the intersection of bio-based and circular economy, and the implications for sustainability of tools, knowledge and design.
Unfortunately I am not a professional fishing guide...don't have enough patience and I like fishing too much =) However, if you are in Sweden I might be able to do some fishing with you and even be an "unofficial guide" for a small fee.
There are nonetheless plenty of guides in Sweden that can help you with your Swedish fishing dreams and I've listed a few on my link page.
Send me an email if you would like to some more information, have comments, want to discuss fishing, flies, etc. I really enjoy hearing from many of you out there and have met several very nice people to fish with through this informational page.
