Emån
Emån in south-east of Småland, is a world class Sea Trout and Salmon river. Historically, it is probably the best known and most written about stream in Sweden. I have fished in two separate sections of the river, Ems Herrgård and Emsfors SFK. Both sections are quite nice, but hands down Ems Herrgård is by far the nicest for fly fishermen. Ems Herrgård is a very interesting place. Very similar to what you could imagine "gentleman fishing" would be like in England. There is a nice mansion, pools named after nobels and genuine feeling that it is special. I will be back!
I've also fished at Emsfors many times. The river here is very nice as well, though I have yet to see a fish. It is also a lot cheaper....
